SUMMARY:Visit Naples\, Italy\, through the City’s Songs
DESCRIPTION:The first offering of the 2026-27 season of Dorothea’s House programs will feature soprano Mara Adler\, an expert in Neapolitan music who has performed around the world from Naples\, Italy\, to San Francisco\, sharing the beauty\, passion\, and charm of this beloved tradition. She will be accompanied on the piano by Angelo Iollo\, recently retired from the Opera Orchestra of Teatro San Carlo in Naples. Come on a musical journey to the heart of southern Italy for an afternoon of music\, storytelling\, and Italian spirit. \nAdler has developed and taught masterclasses in opera and classic Neapolitan song both in the United States and in its birthplace. She regularly performs with I Filarmonici di Napoli at the Teatro San Carlo and throughout the region. She also organizes and performs with international artists throughout New Jersey and has sung background vocals for pop stars and for major motion pictures. \nThe event\, from 5-7 p.m.\, is free. Participants are encouraged to bring refreshments to share at a post-program reception. Doors open at 4:45 p.m.
