DESCRIPTION:Read & Pick is an engaging educational program at Terhune Orchards that combines hands-on farm experiences with storytelling and learning for young children. Designed for parents and children ages preschool through 8\, the program introduces participants to seasonal crops while helping them discover how fruits and vegetables are grown on the farm. \nThis Read & Pick session celebrates everything wonderful about corn. Children will begin the program with story time\, featuring books about corn\, vegetables\, and gardening. Following the stories\, farm staff will lead an interactive educational discussion about how corn grows\, what plants need to thrive\, and how farmers know when corn is ready to harvest. \nAfter the learning portion\, participants will head to the field to see corn stalks up close and pick their own ears of corn to take home. It’s a fun opportunity for children to experience firsthand how this summer vegetable grows. \nThe cost is $12.00 per child and includes the picked corn. DESCRIPTION:The Antique Automobile Club of America Mid-Jersey Region comes to Terhune Orchards. Running Boards\, Rumble Seats\, Three-on-the-Tree\, Hand Crank Start\, Spoke Wheels and Flat Windshields.  Most of us don’t remember these features on cars\, but if you want to see them up close\, and the autos that have them\, join us for a display of antique vehicles on Saturday\, June 20\, 10am-3pm.  This group of cars and trucks will take you back to a time before seat belts and cup holders were invented.  Bring your kids and grandchildren so they can see how motoring used to look.  Owners will be nearby and will be happy to explain the uniqueness and quirks of their cars.    \nEnjoy a day on the farm with live music\, lunch and snack food. Winery in the orchard as you enjoy the car show.
