Bryant, Arkansas Post 298 had three solo home runs in a 7-4 win over Hopewell Post 339 in Game 7 of the American Legion World Series on Saturday.
The Arkansas team scored a run in the top of the first inning. Hopewell’s Cam Cane then hit a single in the bottom of the first. Will Karp and Sam Margulis scored, putting Hopewell up 2-1.
A passed ball and sacrifice bunt in the top of the second inning put Arkansas back up 3-2, and then a solo home run in the fourth put Arkansas ahead 4-2.
After Hopewell scored twice in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game, two Arkansas players hit solo home runs in the fifth to make the score 6-4. Arkansas scored its last run in the seventh inning.
Arkansas will face North Carolina in the final game of pool play Sunday night, while Hopewell will meets Idaho in Game 11.
