High winds cause power outages in Princeton and Robbinsville
More than 1,400 households in Princeton and more than 1,300 households in Robbinsville were without power as of 3:15 p.m. on Saturday due to high winds.
PSE&G estimates that power will be restored by 10:45 p.m. Saturday. Scattered power outages have also taken place in South Brunswick, Hopewell Township, Lawrence, Trenton, and Ewing. About 5,570 PSE&G customers across the state were without power as of 3:15 p.m.
A wind advisory is in effect for the Princeton region until 7 p.m. Saturday night. Wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are possible. In addition to power outages, gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, and tree limbs could be blown down. Use extreme caution if you must drive.
Some residents in the area have reported that it has hailed in their area, while others have reported snow.
