Elaine Louise Nolan, founding member of St. David the King Church, dies at 85

Elaine Louise Nolan, 85, of East Windsor passed away peacefully on March 4.

Born and raised in New York City, she was a 40-year resident of West Windsor before moving to East Windsor in 2012. A graduate of Hunter College High School in Manhattan and a 1959 graduate of the Bellevue School of Nursing, Elaine worked as a registered nurse at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan and Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. Elaine raised five children, and volunteered at the Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church Nursery School after moving to West Windsor. She was a founding member of St. David the King Church in West Windsor.

Daughter of the late Christos and Johanna (Hahn) Prumos, mother of the late Jennifer Nolan, sister of the late James Prumos, she is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, James S. Nolan, and her sons James Nolan, Jr., Christopher Nolan, Paul Nolan, Peter Nolan, and 7 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. David the King Church 1 New Village Road, West Windsor, NJ.

Burial will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover, NJ.
