On July 4, 2024, Theresa Byrne Stead (Terry) 89, of Kendall Park, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Terry is survived by her loving husband of 42 years George. She leaves behind seven children: Terri (Patrick) Byrne-Murphy, Cathy (Buddy) Perdun, Patti (Ed) Janovsky, William (Vicki) Byrne, Kevin Byrne, Dennis (Audrey) Byrne, and Maureen (Mike) Nally.

4 Stepchildren: Leona Kardux, Theresa (Alex) Harrison, Carolyn (Raymond) Zwerver, and Michelle (Chris) Martin, 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Terry is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years Liam Patrick Byrne. Her parents William and Theresa (Burkhardt) Sheppard, her brother Richard (Richie) Sheppard, and her grandson Will Byrne.

Very few people know what they want to be very early in life but Terry knew at a very young age that she wanted to be a mother. She will be especially remembered as a wonderful mother and devoted to her family. She was a loyal and trusted friend. Some of her cherished friendships lasted for well over 50 years! She always showed a kind and friendly spirit to everyone she met. Terry will be greatly missed by so many who loved her.
