Pennsylvania motorcyclist killed after crashing into pole in Lawrence
A Levittown, Pennsylvania, man died Friday morning, June 13, after his motorcycle crashed into a pole on Franklin Corner Road, police said.
At about 6:48 a.m., police officers responded to a call about a crash at the intersection of Franklin Corner Road and Princeton Pike.
Upon arrival, police discovered the motorcycle operator, Benjamin Boyers, 44, unconscious at the scene. Life-saving measures were initiated, and Boyers was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Boyers was operating a 2023 Royal Enfield motorcycle eastbound on Franklin Corner Road when he lost control and struck a telephone pole.
As a result of the crash, Franklin Corner Road eastbound between Princeton Pike and Brunswick Pike was temporarily closed.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lawrence Township Police Department in coordination with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team.
