Fatal South Brunswick crash under investigation

A 61-year-old Kendall Park woman died following a three-vehicle crash on New Road that remains under investigation, South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka announced Wednesday.

The crash occurred around 4:24 p.m. on Nov. 26 between Route 522 and Route 1. Police said a 24-year-old Manalapan woman driving a 2017 Subaru Legacy was heading west on New Road when she crossed the double-yellow line and struck a 2000 Dodge Caravan driven by Nancy Krauss, 61, of Kendall Park.

A third vehicle, a 2012 Subaru Outback operated by a 42-year-old Kendall Park woman, then rear-ended the Dodge Caravan, authorities said.

The driver of the 2017 Subaru was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with minor injuries. The Outback driver was not injured.

Krauss was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in critical condition and later died from her injuries, officials said.
