Franklin businessman Damiano Di Florio dies at 76

Damiano “Dominick” Di Florio, 76, of Franklin Township, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Isernia, Italy, Dominick immigrated to the United States in 1970 and made Princeton his home for over 50 years. A hardworking and dedicated businessman, he was the owner and operator of Di Florio Construction, D & D Construction, and Lakeview Ranch in Franklin Township. Dominick was a proud farmer, an avid animal lover, and enjoyed hunting and horseback riding.
He was the beloved son of the late Vincenzo Di Florio and Giovanna Matticoli; and brother of the late Mario Di Florio, Antonietta Di Florio, and Gino Di Florio
Dominick is survived by his siblings Domenico Di Florio, Rosina Di Florio, Paola Di Florio, Cosmo Di Florio and Roberto Di Florio; life partner, Carol Migliaccio; his six children, Deborah Richter, Anthony Di Florio, Daniel Di Florio, Damiano Di Florio, Carmine Di Florio, and Gemma Di Florio; his cherished grandchildren, Katie Richter, James Richter, Jacob Di Florio, and Gavin Di Florio; his many friends and relatives in Italy; and many dear friends in America who will miss him deeply.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction. Family and friends are invited to gather from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
