Cadwalader Heights House and Garden Tour

the Cadwalader Heights neighborhood in Trenton, NJ is celebrating local history with a tour of 11 distinctive historic homes and a theme focused on building community. “Gather Around the Table: Recipes for Community” will showcase a sampling of beautiful homes and gardens and their unique stories — as well as family recipes and ideas for community-building.

A portion of the proceeds from the tour will go to the nonprofit HomeWorks, Trenton, which is restoring a building near the Cadwalader Heights neighborhood.

On the day of the tour, pick up your wristband at the Trenton City Museum and take a self-guided tour of this historic Trenton neighborhood, which showcases the vision of Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed nearby Cadwalader Park. His early vision of the Cadwalader Heights neighborhood design was later realized by Edmund Hill and the Olmsted Brothers firm. Olmsted was also the landscape designer of New York City’s Central Park.
