How to Write a Song: Concert of New Songs, Presented by the Lewis Center for the Arts’ Princeton Atelier

April 22 • 3:00 pm

Free and open to the public.
How to write a song

Princeton students perform a concert of songs with music and lyrics written over the past semester as part of the spring Princeton Atelier course “How to Write a Song” co-taught by Bridget Kearney of the band Lake Street Dive and Bartees Strange, named “Must-Hear Indie Artist of the Month” by Billboard in June 2022, with a number of guest songwriters and music critics. In the class, small songwriting teams weekly created music and lyrics inspired by such emotionally charged themes as Gratitude, Loss, Protest, Desire, Joyousness, Remorse, and Defiance.
