For one last time, Princeton Township and Princeton Borough will hold separate reorganization meetings tonight, officially marking the last year as two separate municipalities.

Princeton Township will swear in Committeeman Bernie Miller and Committeewoman Sue Nemeth. The committee will also select a mayor and deputy mayor.

In Princeton Borough, Yina Moore will be sworn in as mayor for the year, while newcomer Heather Howard and incumbent Councilwoman Barbara Trelstad will be sworn in for the final year of the Borough Council. The council will also select a president.

The Borough Council is also slated to appoint Borough Administrator Bob Bruschi as acting clerk for the year. Former Clerk Andrea Quinty retired last year. The Borough does not want to replace her because consolidation will take place next year. This is a different approach than the township has taken, with the township moving forward with the process for hiring two new police officers even though consolidation is on the horizon.

Both governing bodies will appoint lawyers and other professionals for the year They will also vote to appoint governing body members and residents to committees.

The Township Committee meeting will be held at the township municipal building at 7 p.m. The Borough Council meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at borough Hall.
