Taking Stock of Locks on St. Patrick’s Day

Princeton’s favorite St. Patrick’s Day hang out didn’t disappoint last night, as crowds packed the Alchemist & Barrister to raise a glass (or two) for a good cause. Planet photographer Dave Cardaciotto was there to capture the moment.

Each year the Alchemist & Barrister raises money for a charity through its St. Patrick’s Day festivities and  longbeard contest. Awards are given out for the longest beard, shortest, most handsome, and more. This year the A&B raised more than $10,000 for Derek’s Dreams. The non-profit supports 14-year-old Princeton resident Derek DiGregorio, who has a rare, neurodegenerative disease called Ataxia Telangiectasia that causes severe disability.
