Friday, July 27

An Evening of Dance with the Princeton Ballet School, American Repertory Ballet – Performance by students in the summer intensive program at McCarter’s Berlind Theatre, 6:30 p.m.

Boeing-Boeing, Princeton Summer Theater – French farce featuring an American playboy in Paris who is juggling three women. Hamilton Murray Theater, Princeton University, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets $25.

Folk Dance with Princeton Folk Dance – Beginners welcome, lesson followed by dance and no partner required. At the Suzanne Patterson Center behind Princeton Borough Hall, 8-11 p.m. Admission $5.

Saturday, July 28

West Windsor and Montgomery Farmers’ Markets – West Windsor Community Farmers’ Market at the Vaughn Drive Parking Lot at the Princeton Junction Train Station, Montgomery Friends of Open Space Farmers’ Market at the Village Shopping Center, 1340 Route 206 South in Skillman. Both 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Little Red’s Wild Ride, Princeton Summer Theater – Play suitable for kids and families at the Hamilton Murray Theater at Princeton University, 11 a.m.

Chuck Schaeffer performs on the Palmer Square Green – Enjoy some country music as part of Palmer Square’s Summer Music Series. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. 2-4 p.m., free.

Cafe Improv –  Music, poetry, comedy and lots of laughs with zany host Tom Florek at the Arts Council of Princeton. Runs 7-10 p.m. Admission just $2.

Sunday, July 29

Nature Walk with Steve Hiltner – Annual walk led by Planet contributor Steve Hiltner along the towpath next to the D&R Canal, starting at Washington Road and heading towards Harrison Street, where a loop trail winds through a savanna landscape of mature oaks and rich understory. Annual spring mowing by D&R Canal State Park crews sustains this habitat. There’s a parking lot off Washington Rd. near the canal, across Lake Carnegie from the University’s boat house. If time permits afterward, the group make a brief stop at the university’s stream restoration nearby. Flowers in bloom: Hibiscus, ironweed, Joe Pye Weed, cutleaf coneflower. 10 a.m., free.

Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning – More than 125 multicolored balloons will dot the sky, launches at 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., weather permitting. At the Solberg Airport in Readington on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets $25.

An Afternoon of Waltzes with Mostly Waltz – Lessons followed by open dancing, no partner required and refreshments will be served. At the Suzanne Patterson Center behind Princeton Borough Hall, 2:30 p.m. Admission $12.
