Princeton Resident’s SouperVan Feeds the Rutgers Masses, Earns a Profit While Helping the Needy
Princeton native and resident Dominick Rodriguez is the co-founder of the SouperVan, a food truck that provides affordable, quick and healthy food to people in New Brunswick, most of them Rutgers University students. A percentage of the proceeds from every meal is donated to Elijah’s Promise, a New Brunswick-based soup kitchen. SouperVan celebrated its fist anniversary in August, and has already donated enough money to Elijah’s Promise to pay for more than 6,000 meals at the soup kitchen. Thanks to Rutgers Today for passing along the video about the SouperVan to Planet Princeton.
