Gov. Chris Christie was on the Daily Show with Lawrenceville native Jon Stewart last night. In part I, he talks about the scope of Hurricane sandy, efforts to get federal funding for relief efforts, his relationship with President Obama, and his man hug with Bruce Springsteen.
In part II, Christie shares his secret for getting things done in a Democrat-dominated state as a Republican governor, debates Obamacare with Stewart and criticizes tv talk show hosts like Stewart for trying to categorize people narrowly.
In part III of the interview, Christie claims that people will be harsh with people who are out of line and stupid, but that people often mistake his honesty for harshness. He says he’s trying not to be phony. His attitude doesn’t make him non-humble, Christie said, it makes him honest.
