There was a gas leak in a furnace at Princeton High School this morning, and the building was evacuated while the leak was fixed, police said. A faculty member who was made aware of the leak by the maintenance staff pulled the fire alarm. There was no danger, the leak was quickly fixed and there were no injuries, police said.

A teen allegedly was found in possession of several bags of marijuana totaling nine grams and packaging materials during a routine police stop on Nassau Street just after 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 12, police said. The 17-year-old, who is a ward of the state, was stopped after a random registration search showed that the owner of the vehicle has an expired license, police said. The teen was charged with possession of a controlled and dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and intent to distribute.

West Windsor Police are searching for people who held a party inside a vacant township home. Residents who live on Cottonwood Drive called police about suspicious activity at the home. When police inspected the residence Friday, they discovered that people had broken into the home, which was strewn with empty beer cans and drug paraphernalia. Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to call the West Windsor Police Detective Bureau at (609) 799-8263.
