One Dead, Two Critically Injured in Princeton Crash This Morning
A three-car crash on Riverside Drive just in front of the Riverside Elementary School in Princeton shortly before 10 a.m. has left one person dead and two others with critical injuries.
A BMW was moving at a high rate of speed going south on Riverside Drive when the driver slammed in to a car that was parked in front of the elementary school, police said. The BMW hit the back of an unoccupied Toyota Camry, which then collided with a Toyota Prius, police said.
The man who was killed in the accident was hit when he was entering the passenger side of the Prius. The force of the collision pushed the Camry almost 1,000 feet down the road, police said. The Prius was pushed along with it, and landed across the street, its back end striking a tree.
The two drivers with injuries were taken to a trauma center. The names of the accident victims have not been released yet.
Riverside Drive was closed for almost three hours while police were at the scene conducting an investigation.
