Dead Body from Hudson River Identified as Paige Aiello
The Family of College of New Jersey senior Paige Aiello confirmed to media outlets this afternoon that the body found on the rocks along the Hudson River is Aiello.
The New York Police Department’s harbor unit found her decomposed body washed up on the rocks near E. 158th St. in Washington Heights early Wednesday afternoon and the body was positively identified today.
Aiello, a Hillsborough native who was captain of the women’s tennis team, was last seen by her family on the afternoon of April 9. She attended classes, was picked up from school by her father, came home, and then disappeared in the afternoon in her mom’s Audi. Her cell phone and purse were found on the George Washington Bridge that night. The Audi was later found in a New Brunswick parking deck. Aiello had been living at home because she was under a lot of stress and was depressed. She was planning to go to law school in the fall, then disappeared two days before her 22nd birthday.
