State Police Issue Alert for Missing Lawrence Woman

runyonLawrence resident and county worker Martha Runyon has still not been found as of this afternoon. Just after 1 p.m. the New Jersey State Police issued a missing persons alert seeking the public’s help finding her.

Runyon, 60, is an employee for the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission. She is known by many area residents and non-profit leaders who enjoy receiving the weekly newsletter she publishes about cultural events across the county.

Runyon was last seen at her home on the evening of July 7. Her family has not been able to locate her since then.

Police spent most of the day yesterday searching for her. Police dogs searched parks near her home on Rosetree Lane  and helicopters also searched the area.

Runyon  been entered as a missing person in the National Crime Information Center computer system.
