Coalition for Peace Action Still Has Space on Buses for 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington
The Coalition for Peace Action and the Trenton NAACP were able to reserve one more bus yesterday to the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.
If you would like to take the bus to Washington DC with the Coalition tomorrow call (609) 924-5022 before 5 p.m. to reserve your seat using a credit card.
Buses will depart from the Princeton Shopping Center (near the Rite Aid) and the Hamilton AMC Theater at about 5 a.m. You can also show up at the shopping center of the AMC Theater at 4:45 a.m. with a check or cash, but there is no guarantee seats will still be available.
The group will arrive at the Lincoln Memorial in time for the main rally with Martin Luther King III. The group will march about half a mile together to the Washington Monument to close the day, and arrive back in New Jersey at approximately 8 p.m.
Seats on the buses are $50 each for members of CFPA or NAACP, and $65 each for non-members. If you can’t afford that amount, just contribute what you can afford and with scholarship donations that have been made, the groups will try to subsidize the rest.
