Water Main Break on Park Place, Princeton Road Closures for Week of Nov. 4-10
New Jersey American Water Company’s water main on Park Place has developed a break between Vandeventer Avenue and Madison Street. The water company is currently repairing the water line, which will be shutdown for a period of time in order to make repairs. Upon completion of sanitary sewer and storm sewer construction on Park Place, the water company will be replacing this old 4-inch-wide water main with a new 8-inch-wide water main. A portion of Park Place is closed while crews complete repairs, and Vandeventer Avenue is closed between Spring Street to Nassau Street.
Crews will be working on Moore Street on Nov. 4 and 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Expect alternating traffic though the area, with periodic short-term closures, police say.
Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Friday, Nov. 8, PSE&G will be trimming trees on Hamilton Avenue, Linden Lane, Harrison Street, Moore Street, Walnut Lane, North Tulane Street, Madison Street, and Vandeventer Avenue. “Emergency No Parking” signs will be posted in specific areas for the project, and police will be on location during work hours for traffic control.
