Mercer Road Repairs Begin Today
Beginning today, the Top Line Construction Corp. will be working on Mercer Road (Princeton Pike) near Gallup Road. Construction workers will work to the east, proceeding towards the Quaker Road intersection. Portions of the roadway will be milled and paved with new road base material. Mercer Road will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Province Line Road to Quaker Road. Hutchinson Drive will be closed to through traffic. The Quaker Road intersection will remain open at all times.
The Phase I road work closure is expected to be in effect for one week, weather permitting. The final surfacing of the road (Phase II) will be done in June and residents will receive additional notice prior to the work proceeding. Contractor will park construction vehicles on Gallop Road for overnight vehicle storage. This will not interfere with any driveways on Gallup Road. Provisions will be made for continued services such as brush collection, mail delivery, garbage and recycling pick-up. The road will be reopened to full two-way traffic and parking at the end of each work day.
