Community Park Pool in Princeton Reaches 250,000 Visitor Mark

pool250000The Princeton Recreation Department celebrated the 250,000th visit to the new Community Park Pool last week. The pool facility was renovated and opened in May of 2012 after several years of planning and discussion.

The Caceres Family of Witherspoon Street won a free 2015 pool membership and a $100 coupon to R & K’s Poolside Grill for hitting the magic 250,000 number.

Ben Stentz, executive director of recreation for the town of Princeton, said membership has increased substantially since the pool has been renovated. Participation in pool-related programming, visits by community organizations, and daily admission customers have also increased, he said.

The Community Park Pool is open weekdays from noon to 8 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The pool season ends on Monday, September 1, 2014. For more information about membership, pool-related programming and special events visit www.princetonrecreation.com or call (609) 921-9480.
