Memorial Service for Shooting Victim George Jamison This Friday
George Arthur Jamison, Jr., 43, a loving father who was often seen spending time with his children in Princeton, died July 30th.
Born in Windsor, New York, he was a graduate of Washington College. He was a former coordinator for SERV Behavioral Health.
Son of the late Reta Dickinson Jamison, he is survived by his father, George A. Jamison, Sr., his wife, Rachel Brown Jamison; his daughters Kismet and Calliope Jamison, his son, Atticus Jamison all of Pennington; a sister, Dawn Jamison of Ithaca, New York; a grandmother, Dorothy Dickinson; and an aunt, Donna Benedict.
Jamison was shot while waiting at a bus stop in Trenton on the night of July 30. He spent his last day in Princeton at a funeral and visited the Princeton University Art Museum, one of his favorite places. A resident of Pennington for the last two years, he and his family lived in Princeton for many years. Friends described him as a gentle and intelligent person who loved literature.
Calling hours will be this Friday, Aug. 8th from 5-7 p.m. with remembrances at 7 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. The interment will be private. Condolences are welcome at www.wilsonapple.com.
