This afternoon police arrested a 28-year-old man in Old Bridge for the robbery that took place Monday morning at the TD Bank on Route 206 in Princeton.

A confidential tip led police detectives to Wesley Gugliuzza. A coordinated effort between Princeton Police detectives and Old Bridge Police detectives led to his capture and arrest. Gugliuzza, who does not have a permanent address, was arrested without incident at an undisclosed location in Old Bridge.

Surveillance images of Gugliuzza inside TD Bank that were shared by news agencies played an important role in identifying and locating him, police said.

Gugliuzza is charged with one count of first-degree robbery, one count of third-degree terroristic threats, and one count of fourth-degree tampering with evidence. Bail has been set at $300,000.

Gugliuzza is currently incarcerated at the Middlesex County Correctional Center in New Brunswick.
