A limited allotment of tickets to attend the Princeton University appearance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be made available to the public through online registration and a random drawing, the school announced today.
Anyone wishing to try for a single, free ticket to the Dalai Lama’s “Develop the Heart” talk Oct. 28 can register online from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Winners will be notified by noon Wednesday, Oct. 22, in an email that will include pickup instructions. Tickets must be picked up in person with identification by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24.
The visit of the Dalai Lama is co-sponsored by the Office of Religious Life at Princeton University and The Kalmyk Three Jewels Foundation. Further information is available on the University’s Dalai Lama website.
Princeton University Spokeman Martin Mbugua said the total audience will be approximately 4,000 people. About 1,000 seats will be for members of the community. A portion of those 1,000 tickets were distributed through and online system last month, and they were all gone in less than three minutes.
The Dalai Lama’s talk will be streamed live on the Princeton University website. The Princeton Public Library will also stream the talk in the community room.
