Princeton Area Transit, Travel and School Information for Wednesday, Jan. 29
Police are advising motorist of the possibility of icy road conditions tonight and early Wednesday. Temperatures are continuing to drop, and some snow packed roadways will make travel hazardous. Reduce speeds and allow for extra time for your morning commute on Wednesday, police say.
NJ Transit will operate full weekday service on its bus, rail, light rail services on Wednesday, January 28. Systemwide cross-honoring of NJ TRANSIT rail, bus, and light rail is in effect on Wednesday.
The FreeB will be back in service and operating on a regular schedule Wednesday.
Schools
Princeton University reopened at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Princeton Public Schools will return to a normal start time on Wednesday, January 28. Please note that PHS will be on an exam schedule with a 12:35 dismissal. The elementary and middle schools will dismiss at their regular time.
South Brunswick Public School will have a 90-minute delayed opening Wednesday.
St. Augustine of Canterbury School will have a 90-minute delayed opening Wednesday.
Government
Back to work for state workers, county workers and municipal employees on Wednesday.
As of 6 p.m. Tuesday, overnight parking restrictions are lifted in Princeton.
Curbside organic waste will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 28th in Princeton.
Recycling not collected in Princeton on Monday will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
Tuesday’s trash collection in Princeton is rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29.
