Quaker Bridge Mall owner Simon has announced plans to open a Lane Bryant plus-size fashion retail shop and renovate the American Eagle store.
Opening in May, Lane Bryant will be located on the center’s lower level next to JCPenney. The addition reflects a growing market within the retail sector for plus-size apparel, mall representatives said.
American Eagle, a chain selling trendy casualwear, shoes, accessories and loungewear, is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen in the spring at its original location on the upper level near Lord & Taylor.
Other recent changes include the relocation of Hallmark Gold Crown store, which moved its store to the upper level near JCPenney.
These brands are the latest openings in a series of new retailers to join the Quaker Bridge retail roster within the past year including Vera Bradley, Lucky Brand, Popeyes, Zumiez, Clarks and Garage.
“Lane Bryant is a welcomed addition to Quaker Bridge Mall and enables us to further diversify our retail offerings for customers, particularly in a category that is one of the fastest growing segments within the apparel industry,” said Lynda Benedetto, mall manager at Quaker Bridge Mall. “Lane Bryant marks the eighth new retailer to open at Quaker Bridge over the past year and we’re happy to be able to continue to offer our customers an unparalleled selection of the very best in retail and dining.”
