Frick Chemistry Lab at Princeton Evacuated Tuesday Night
The Frick Chemistry Laboratory at Princeton University was evacuated for about two hours Tuesday evening, Sept. 1, after a small amount of a hazardous material was spilled on the floor of a third-floor laboratory.
No one was injured when the spill occurred about 7:20 p.m., school officials said. Officers from Princeton University’s Department of Public Safety responded along with the Princeton Fire Department and the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad. A hazardous materials unit from Trenton was called.
The building was reopened about 9:20 p.m., and about 20 people resumed work in the building. School is not in session yet for the fall semester.
