Hughes Justice Complex in Trenton Closed
The Hughes Justice Complex in Trenton has been closed because of a freon leak, officials announced this morning.
The leak has been fixed, but freon readings are higher than acceptable, officials said.
The building was evacuated, and fresh air is being brought into the building via the HVAC system. No one will be allowed in the building until the Trenton Fire Department, the Department of Environmental Protection, and associated hazmat teams deem the building safe for occupancy.
The building, located at 25 Market Street, houses the the New Jersey Judiciary, the Office of the Public Defender, the Attorney General, and some agencies under the office of the Attorney General in the Department of Law and Public Safety .
