Man Arrested in Princeton for Allegedly Impersonating Crisis Ministry Volunteer
Police arrested a Trenton man on Thursday evening, Jan. 14, for allegedly impersonating a Crisis Ministry volunteer and collecting “donations” that did not go to Crisis Ministry. The nonprofit agency never solicits door to door.
Jerry Walker, 54, was arrested on Hopewell Township Municipal Court warrants totaling $268 after police received a report of a male representing himself as a Crisis Ministry volunteer and soliciting for donations. Walker also did not obtain a permit to solicit.
Prior to his arrest, Walker was soliciting Crisis Ministry donations in the North Harrison Street area.
Walker was processed at police headquarters and charged with soliciting without a permit. He was afterwards turned over to Hopewell Township Police.
