Did the Ground Just Shake? Mortar Training at McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst
Live mortar training will take place at the McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Joint Base starting on March 17 and ending on March 20.
Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 182nd Infantry Regiment of the Massachusetts Army National Guard are scheduled to conduct the training.
Surrounding areas may experience moderate ground shaking and moderate noise coming from the ranges for all four days of the training. The noise may be louder and may travel farther if the weather is overcast.
