Hillary Clinton’s Visit to Mercer County Community College Cancelled (Updated)

clintonPresidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has cancelled her visit to Mercer County that was scheduled for this Thursday, June 2.

Clinton had planned to hold a public organizing event at the West Windsor campus of Mercer County Community College. The sign-up form for the event was still active as of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning even though the event was cancelled.

Instead of remaining in New Jersey on Thursday, Clinton will head to California. The state has 548 delegates heading to the Democratic National Convention in July. New Jersey has 142 delegates. Both primaries are next Tuesday, June 7.

Clinton is still scheduled to appear at Rutgers University in Newark on Wednesday, and on Tuesday she will attend an East Brunswick fundraiser with U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, who has been mentioned as a potential Clinton running mate.

Bill Clinton will also be in the Garden State on Wednesday, campaigning for his wife at Union County Community College in Cranford.
