West Windsor Police Investigating Possible Child Luring Incidents

The West Windsor Police Department is investigating two separate reports of possible child luring that occurred within the past week.

The first incident occurred on Friday, Sept. 9, between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. This suspect is described as an unknown male, over 6’ tall, with a broad chest. He was wearing a black leather jacket with zippers on the sleeves and chest. This incident occurred on the sidewalk on Old Trenton Road near Emily Court.

The second incident occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 13, between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The suspect is described as a white male with a dark complexion and a tall, thin build. He was wearing a black poncho with the hood pulled up.

Both suspects were described as having deep voices. Both victims who were approached were young males between the ages of 10 and 12.

Police are asking area residents to be aware of their surroundings and to immediately report anything suspicious. Parents and guardians should also talk to their children about personal safety and strangers.

Police have been in contact with the school officials, and have increased patrols of neighborhoods and schools during dismissal times. Police are investigating both incidents and attempting to identify the suspect(s). Surrounding jurisdictions have also been notified. Anyone with information or questions should contact Lt. Matthew Kemp of the West Windsor Police Investigations Bureau at (609) 799-1222.
