Princeton United Methodist Church Hires Two New Staff Members
The Princeton United Methodist Church, which is located in downtown Princeton, has announced the appointment of two new staff members.
Erik “Skitch” Matson will work with young people at the church and Princeton University. He currently works for the Kingston United Methodist Church and has served in camp, college, and youth
ministry for over five years. Born in California, he came to New Jersey by way of Princeton Theological Seminary, where he graduated with his master’s of divinity in May.
At the university, he will be the director of the Wesley Foundation, the United Methodist ministry on campus.
Machaela Irving has been hired to serve as the new director of Christian education at the Princeton United Methodist Church. She graduated with honors from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa., majoring in communication studies. She lives in Newtown, Pa., where she has been a leader at the Newtown United Methodist Church.
The Princeton United Methodist Church is located at the corner of Nassau Street and Vandeventer Avenue. It offers Christian
education for all ages, toddler through adult, on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
Worship is at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Youth from grades 6 to 12 meet for supper and fellowship on Sundays at 6 p.m. Confirmation classes for 8th graders begin in October. The church is wheelchair accessible and a nursery is available. For information, 609-924-2613 or visit the church website.
