AvalonBay VP Receives Inaugural CEO Volunteer Award
Ron Ladell, the senior vice president for AvalonBay Communities, was recently recognized by Farleigh Dickinson University Center of Excellence at the school’s inaugural CEO volunteer recognition ceremony at the Madison Hotel. The event honored 13 volunteer leaders throughout New Jersey.
Ladell is a board member for the Center For Great Expectations, which is based in Somerset. The center assists women who are homeless, pregnant, or in recovery from addiction, and provides services to their children. Ladell was the catalyst for AvalonBay’s decision to dedicate 16 apartment homes at Avalon Somerset to the Center For Great Expectations. Currently 16 woman and 31 young children live in the Avalon Somerset apartment homes.
AvalonBay currently owns 20 apartment complexes with a total of 5,768 apartment units in New Jersey. The Princeton development on Witherspoon Street is the newest AvalonBay project. Tenants began moving in to the development this fall.
