Lawrence Police identify victim in Princeton Pike crash

The Lawrence Police Department has identified Maddie Everett, 76, of Lawrenceville as the victim in the fatal crash on Princeton Pike that occurred Monday morning. The second driver in the crash, Henry Hoffler, 47, of Trenton is in stable condition and suffered injuries to his head and ribs.

At about 6:45 a.m. Monday, the Lawrence Township Police Department received several 911 calls reporting a two-car crash along Princeton Pike just north of Lewisville Road. The two vehicles involved were found off the roadway when police arrived on the scene. Everett, who was driving a small sedan, was pronounced dead at the scene. Hoffler, who was operating a pickup truck. had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire fighters and EMTs and was taken to Capital Health Regional Hospital in Trenton for treatment.

Hoffler was traveling northbound in his pickup truck was traveling northbound on Princeton Pike while Everett was was traveling southbound on Princeton Pike in the sedan, police said. Hoffler suffered a medical emergency that caused his truck to enter the southbound lane, striking Everett’s vehicle, police said.
