Tuesday morning snow update
Visibility is poor and sleet is mixing with rain in the Princeton area as of 8:30 a.m. The roads are a mix of snow and ice. Three to four inches of snow are on the ground. On some roads you can see blacktop, but the roads are very icy. Numerous cars have slid off the road. Stay in if you can. We may see more snow today. As temperatures drop the rain will freeze, making driving even more dangerous.
NJ Transit and PATH are operating on a weekend schedule.
Schools, local, county and state offices are closed today, as are most businesses.
Princeton University is closed today for non-essential personnel. Classes scheduled to begin before noon are cancelled and libraries are closed; an announcement will be made by 10:30 a.m. on the status of afternoon and evening classes and libraries.
