Two victims have stepped forward to say they were sexually assaulted by an East Windsor man who taught at the Shalom Torah Academy Marlboro Township and led a youth group, law enforcement officials said.

Menachem Chinn, 40, was charged in April with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of sexual assault for an incident that allegedly occurred in his home in 2012.

Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri said that following media reports of Chinn’s arrest, a second victim reached out to law enforcement.

On Tuesday, Chinn was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of sexual assault. The victim, who is now an adult, said Chinn had inappropriate sexual contact with him at Chinn’s residence numerous times between July 2010 and May 2011. Chinn had previously been the victim’s teacher and youth group religious mentor.

Chinn is currently being held at the Mercer County Correction Center. The investigation is
ongoing.  Anyone with information on the cases should contact Mercer County Prosecutor’s Detective
Alicia Bergondo at (609) 989-6568 or East Windsor Police Detective Thomas Meyer at (609) 448-5678.
