Wind gusts causing trees and utility poles to fall
Strong winds are already causing problems in parts of central New Jersey.In South Brunswick, a tree fell and crashed into an SUV on Sandhill Road near Route 1 at about 2:45 p.m. A father and son traveling in the vehicle suffered minor injuries. At about 3 p.m., a utility pole fell on Davidson Mill Road and the road has been closed. The closure is expected to last until about 7 p.m.
Police are reminding motorists to use caution over the next several hours because strong winds and heavy rain are possible.
