Prosecutor: Hamilton woman killed by boyfriend
Hamilton resident Jennifer Beer, 31, was killed in her home early Sunday morning and her boyfriend has been arrested for the homicide.
At about 6:05 a.m. Sunday, Hamilton police officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 800 block of South Olden Avenue. Officers heard a gunshot come from the second floor apartment. Once they were able to break in to the apartment, they found Daniel Torres, 38, inside. They searched the apartment and discovered Beer on the floor of the bedroom. She had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. A dead dog was also discovered in the bedroom near Beer.
Torres, who also lived on South Olden Avenue in Hamilton, has been charged with murder, possession of firearms, and cruelty to an animal. He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center.
