Police seek public’s help identifying suspects in shooting at Route 27 gas station in Kendall Park
An employee at a gas station on Route 27 in Kendall Park was shot several times just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, South Brunswick Police say.
The 60-year-old gas station attendant was shot at the BP Gas Station at 3612 Route 27 near the Kendall Park Roller Skating Rink. The victim was shot by the occupants of a white vehicle that then fled on Route 27. The victim was taken by Kendall Park First Aid Squad and paramedics to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He has undergone surgery and is in serious condition, police said.
Police are looking for the public’s assistance in locating any video footage of the vehicle or witnesses. If your home or business is near the location of the incident — Route 27 and Alston Road — and you have video from between 4:15 a.m. and 4:25 a.m. showing a white vehicle, please contact police at (732) 329-4646.
“These types of crimes are extremely rare in our community. We are following all leads and working with our county and state law enforcement partners to capture these suspects,” South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka said.
