Power lines are down and there is a fire at the intersection of Hutchinson Drive and Route 206. Route 206 northbound is closed in Princeton between Provinceline Road and Quaker Road.  Police said drivers should use Mercer Road or Rosedale Road as alternate routes. Police said residents of the Washington Oaks development should use the Mercer Road entrance only for entering and exiting their neighborhood until PSE&G has repaired the wires.

In Princeton, about 500 PSE&G customers were without power as of 5:45 p.m. In Lawrence, about 350 PSE&G customers were without power. In East Windsor, almost 800 JCP&L customers were without power. In Hightstown, about 150 JCP&L customers were without power as of 5:45 p.m.

In South Brunswick, Route 130 is flooded at Fresh Ponds Road, Route 1 is flooded at Promenade Boulevard, Summerfield Boulevard is flooded near Larkspur Drive, and Constable Road is flooded near Richford Road.

Old Trenton Road in West Windsor has been reopened between Edinburg and Robbinsville roads. Police said the downed power line has been cleared.

If you experience a power outage, call PSE&G at 1-800-436-PSEG (7734).

We will update this story with more information about road closures and power outages as it becomes available.
