Alexander Street to be closed overnight Thursday for utility work related to bridge project

A county contractor is conducting work on the Alexander Street this week, and is relocating utilities in preparation for the bridge replacement project. One lane of Alexander Street near the D&R Canal will be closed during the day on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Expect alternating traffic. On Thursday overnight, expect a full road closure and seek an alternate route.

Alexander Street in Princeton near the West Windsor border will be closed for just under six months starting in November so the state and county can replace two bridges and a culvert. The projects are slated to start on Nov. 6 and end by April 20 of 2020.
