Police seek witnesses of attempted robbery on Nassau Street

Just before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of an attempted robbery in progress on the 100 block of Nassau Street. Patrols responded to the area and located a suspect who matched the description given by the person who reported the incident.

Gaymel Gains of Trenton allegedly was in possession of a knife and was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, a fourth-degree crime, and the possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a third-degree crime.

Police have not been able to find the alleged victim and are seeking information from any victims or witnesses who can provide more information about the robbery.
