Princeton area donors needed to replenish blood supply
Blood donors are needed because the usual spring build-up of the blood supply didn’t happen and there is still a national blood shortage.
Community blood drives are starting up again to meet the needs of hospitals, and blood drives are being held in large spaces to enable social distancing. Donors are being asked to wear masks and appointments are required to help control the number of donors in a space at one time.
You can schedule an appointment to give blood at the following area locations and drives:
The Central New Jersey Blood Donation Center – Ongoing drive. 707 Alexander Road, Princeton, NJ 08540. (Appointments for this week are full. Fewer people are being scheduled at one time to allow for proper social distancing). Make an appointment here or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
