FBI seeks information in North Brunswick shooting that killed federal judge’s son
The son of a federal judge was shot to death in North Brunswick on Sunday night and the judge’s husband is in critical condition due to injuries from gunshots, police said.
Law enforcement agencies are searching for the suspect, who fled on foot. Sources say he was dressed as a Federal Express driver. The FBI has asked anyone with information about the shooting to call 1-973-792-3001.
The shooting occurred at the home of District Court Judge Esther Salas. Her son, Daniel Anderl, 20, was killed, and her husband, prominent defense attorney Mark Anderl, was injured.
Anderl, 63, and his son were shot multiple times on the front step of their home in North Brunswick off of Hidden Lake Drive near Route 27 at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday. Salas was not injured.
