COVID-19 vaccine trials show promising early results
Health experts agree situations of COVID-19 flare ups will be common as the state reopens, or at least until scientists develop a vaccine for broad distribution. There appears to be a clear front runner from the University of Oxford and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca that’s showing promising results in human testing. It received an endorsement from the World Health Organization which calling it the most advanced vaccine candidate. But there are several high-profile vaccine efforts underway and they’re all at different stages of development.
