If you are registered to vote in New Jersey and you have not voted using a mail-in ballot, you can still drop your ballot off at secure drop box up until 8 p.m. today, Nov. 3. Ballots won’t be accepted at the drop boxes after 8 p.m., so leave extra time and drop off your ballot earlier.

You can also mail your ballot in today, but we don’t recommend that option at this point because of U.S. Postal Service delays and issues in the primary election with ballots mistakenly being sent back to voters’ return addresses.

You can also bring your mail-in ballot to a polling location between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. You can search for your polling location on the state’s Division of Elections website polling search page.

Your polling location may be different than it has been in past elections. The election is primarily a vote-by-mail election in New Jersey due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Every municipality must have at least one polling location open. Just a heads up that even if you are dropping off a mail-in ballot at the polls, you will still need to wait in line at your polling station and sign-in as you have in the past.

If you do not have a mail-in ballot or suspect your mail-in ballot was lost, you can cast a provisional ballot on paper at the polls.

Only voters with a disability who need an accommodation will be able to cast ballots using a voting machine.

If you go to the polls to drop off your mail-in ballot or to cast a provisional ballot, you must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Still need a mail-in ballot? You can get one at your county clerk’s office. Mercer County residents who still need one should go to 209 South Broad Street to get a ballot. You can get one until 7:45 p.m. but you would still need to drop it off at ballot box. The Mercer County Board of Elections ballot box is located at 1400 Parkway Ave. in Ewing because the office was moved temporarily for the election due to space issues.
